No Nigerian University is among the ten best in Africa according to the 2014 UNIVERSITY WEB RANKINGS for Africa released by International Colleges and Universities (ICU).
In the list released by ICU on Tuesday, July 29, 2014, South Africa and Egypt have 6 and 4 universities respectively in the list of Africa's 10 best.
But for the presence of University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) in the 20th position, Nigerian would have missed out on the top 20 universities in Africa.
The University of Lagos (UNILAG) followed on the 21st position.
Interestingly, Ghana's only university in the top 50, the University of Ghana, came in the 24th position.

- Obafemi Awolowo University OAU
According to ICU's Nigerian Universities rankings, UNILORIN is the best University in Nigeria, followed by UNILAG in the 2nd position with the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) coming 3rd.
UNILORIN is also 1,842nd in the World Rankings.
