From one Champions League clash to the next. Following their 2-0 victory away at Lens on matchday two, Sporting host LASK Linz at Alvalade this Wednesday (20:00).
After two days off, the squad returned to training on Saturday morning, but head coach Rui Borges received no positive updates: none of the three injured players took part in team training, and all are expected to miss the visit of the Austrian side.
Zeno Debast, Rodrigo Zalazar, and Nuno Santos worked separately from the main group as they continue their recovery from physical issues. Meanwhile, Ibrahima Ba is pushing for selection, having recovered a week ago.
Also working away from the first team, though uninjured, was Moncev Zekri, who linked up with the Under-23s to gain match fitness ahead of their matchday 9 fixture against Gil Vicente in the Liga Next Gen.
Sporting are scheduled for another morning training session on Sunday at the Cristiano Ronaldo Academy in Alcochete.
