Despite losing the lead in the drivers' championship following the race in Baku, Nikola Tsolov remains fully confident that the title fight has more twists and turns in store. The Bulgarian talent is adamant he has what it takes to mount a decisive charge in the closing stages of the 2026 season.

The Campos Racing driver led the standings for most of the year courtesy of a blistering run that featured three consecutive victories and six wins in total since the start of the campaign. Although title rival Rafael Camara took over the top spot after Round 12, Tsolov insists it does not change his approach as he remains solely focused on his own driving.

"I'm going to focus on myself and getting back to winning ways after a few weekends where I made mistakes. I've been through some difficult moments that taught me a lot, and that's the positive mindset I want to bring to the track now. I've had plenty of ups and downs, just like anyone else, but what matters most is how you bounce back. "The strong mid-season run really helped me weather the storm over the last few rounds and stay within touching distance of the top despite everything that happened. Now is not the time to ease off, though. We need to recapture our summer form. We lost the lead we had built over the field, but we've already proven what we're capable of, and I'm sure we will do it again," said the Bulgarian ace. "It's crucial to stay calm because that's all part of the journey. You can't always have good days, and to appreciate them, you have to push through the tough ones. I try to embrace the process, no matter how demanding it gets. It comes with mistakes, difficult days, and bad luck, but you have to make the most of it, get back to work, and keep building forward. We had frustrating weekends like Canada and Miami, but we still managed to fight back and build a gap. I always see the light at the end of the tunnel, and I believe it will shine through very soon," Tsolov added.

The final two rounds of the Formula 2 season are scheduled to take place in Qatar and Abu Dhabi in late November and early December. If holding the events proves unfeasible, the Formula 2 campaign will most likely be concluded prematurely.
