'I won't tap out' by Ahmad Abdullah
'I won't tap out' by Ahmad Abdullah
Wrap the cord around my cord
Buried with vocals within my neck
Enslaved I am to the music lord
My voice a path to earn a cheque
So I will eat them, my words
And drink with it my struggles
What little joy my soul affords
My eyes shall seal as it toggles
Within the vault of my skull
A slave to the groove always
Every veins narrates a story
Afloat a river of sweat that says
Only time will unveil my glory
For I’m not dead, never
I only reside, underground
