Ahead of the game, Ndidi has urged Nigerians to relax and trust the players.

“I will say they should just relax and try to enjoy the game because we are giving our best,” the midfielder said in an interview with Ayo Olu Ibidapo of the NFF.

“We take every game very serious; even friendlies. We take every game as a competitive game and I don’t think we will let them down this time.”

The 20-year-old was with the Super Eagles squad for their camping in Paris where they also played a friendly game against Togo which they won 3-0.

The midfielder said the camp was an interesting one.

“The coaches and all the players also try to see and help each other and improve because we don’t always play together,” Ndidi added.

Ndidi has become a Super Eagles regular under boss Gernot Rohr and has seen great improvement in the team since the German took over.
