A group of Ex-militants under the aegis of Niger Delta Watchdogs have hailed President Buhari for sacking the board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

They said it is a welcome development, alleging that the board used money meant for development in the Niger Delta to sponsor the Peoples Democratic Party elections in 2015.
A statement signed by General John Duku alleged that the past board members spent over N4b to sponsor the election of fmr. President Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign.
They also called on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to investigate the sacked board members.
Adding that a technocrat with integrity should be appointed by Buhari to head the NDDC.
