"There are no question marks for me. It's normal for all sorts of things to be discussed at this time of the season. This is just the beginning for us, the team's first year. Personally, I know the team is very happy with me and with Gabi (Bortoleto)," Hülkenberg stated, adding that his contract with the German team is for more than one year.

Speculation regarding the German driver's future stemmed from various media rumors suggesting Carlos Sainz was unhappy at Williams and keen to join Audi.

"I read those things about Carlos. The reserve driver position with us is open, but I'm not entirely sure if he'd be interested," he further commented, as quoted by DPA news agency.

To date, Hülkenberg has not finished in the top 10 in a race, with his best result being 11th place. Bortoleto has accumulated 6 points, and in the last race in Great Britain, the Brazilian secured Audi's best finish of the year so far, crossing the line in eighth.
