NFF have been hindered by the lack of financial strength in their quest to hire a foreign coach for the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

Speaking at a recent interview, Pinnick confirmed that the NFF now have a corporate partner to finance the payment of salaries of five members of the Super Eagles.

“The first that we done was to ensure we got a partner that will pay the fees of all the coaches and not just whoever was selected,” the NFF president told Brila FM.

Further revealed that the company does not want their identity to be made public.

This comes after the NFF denied receiving a bail-out fund t from government-owned oil firm, NNPC to help them pay the new Super Eagles coach.

Pulse Sports among other Nigerian media platforms reported that NNPC gave the NFF the sum of N517M ($1.5M).

Speaking to Pulse, Chairman of the NFF Media and Publicity Committee, Hon. Suleiman Yahaya-Kwande, denied the report stating that ‘nobody in the NFF or NNPC discussed the matter.

“There is no iota of truth in it,” Yahaya-Kwande said.
