Father of Brazilian star, Neymar has claimed that Manchester United had a £130m offer turned down by Barcelona for the forward.

Manchester United Chief Executive, Ed Woodward reportedly contacted Barcelona in the final weeks of the summer transfer window.

Naymar’s father, Neymar da Silva Santos who is also the agent of his son has now claimed that United did make an offer which was rejected by Barcelona.

“Man United’s offer came to Barça and they told us they won’t sell. They asked if we were interested but that wasn’t the case,” Neymar senior told Brazilian publication Globo.

“Barcelona does not want to sell because Neymar has a three-year contract.”
