Spurs, Trail Blazers enjoy NBA wins

An undermanned San Antonio Spurs still rolled to a comfortable win, beating the Minnesota Timberwolves 116-91 in the NBA.

Without coach Gregg Popovich and veterans Tony Parker, Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili, the Spurs still managed to improve to 54-10.

LaMarcus Aldridge led them with 29 points, while David West (18), Kawhi Leonard (15) and Andre Miller (13) were also good contributors.

Andrew Wiggins had a team-high 23 points for the Timberwolves.

The Portland Trail Blazers needed overtime to get past the Washington Wizards 116-109.

Damian Lillard starred for the winners as his 41 points and 11 assists saw them to their victory at Moda Center.

The Toronto Raptors rallied past the Brooklyn Nets 104-99 and the Los Angeles Lakers made it back-to-back victories by overcoming the Orlando Magic 107-98.

Kenneth Faried had a double-double of 24 points and 10 rebounds as the Denver Nuggets beat the New York Knicks 110-94.

The Atlanta Hawks overcame a slow start to claim a 91-84 victory over the Utah Jazz.
