LeBron James has hit out at reports of a spat between himself and Cleveland Cavaliers team-mate Kevin Love after posting a cryptic message on social media.

The four-time NBA MVP took to Twitter on Saturday to post: "Stop trying to find a way to FIT-OUT and just FIT-IN. Be apart of something special! Just my thoughts."

Some outlets quoted James as confirming the message was aimed at Love - in reference to a comment he made during pre-season - after the Cavs' 120-105 victory over Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday.

However, James insists there is no bad blood between himself and Love, who joined the Cavs from the Minnesota Timberwolves last year.

"I like u guys a lot (media), but don't try and make a story cause it looks good," he tweeted on Monday. "If I have a problem with a team-mate or anyone I'll say to their face and not over social media. That's corny and wack!

"So good try again my friends (media), I still love you guys."
