Napoli has officially announced the signing of wing-back Constantino Favazulli from Serie B side Catanzaro. The deal is structured as a €1 million loan with a mandatory purchase option of €6 million. The player himself is set to sign a 5+3 year contract.
Favazulli is a product of Fiorentina's academy but never made a senior appearance for the club. Instead, the 22-year-old was sent on loan to Ternana and Bari. Last summer, he joined Catanzaro as a free agent, where he impressed with two goals and nine assists in 42 matches. His strong performances in Serie B caught the attention of Napoli, and he also earned his first two caps for the Italian national team in June.
Meanwhile, Chelsea defender Benoît Badiashile underwent his medical examinations this morning ahead of his move to the Partenopei. This transfer also involves an initial loan deal worth €3+1 million, with a purchase option set at €27 million. If activated, the Frenchman's contract would run until 2031, with an annual salary of €2.8 million.
