The Los Angeles Lakers could face stiff competition to retain Austin Reaves next summer.

According to Dan Woike of "The Athletic," the Brooklyn Nets are emerging as a strong contender for the guard's signature and are prepared to make a substantial offer. Woike reports that Reaves is expected to be a primary free-agent target for Brooklyn, with a potential four-year contract worth $178.5 million on the table.
However, the Nets are not the only team eyeing Reaves. The Detroit Pistons and Atlanta Hawks are also among the potential suitors for his services.
League sources indicate that both teams possess the cap space necessary to present competitive offers for one of the Lakers' most valuable players.
