Telco announces reduced prices for data subscription

Over the weekend and holiday, MTN sent out texts to its subscribers saying that they could enjoy as much as "500% discounts on data", which means the telco is offering much cheaper data plans.

This would make MTN's data plans be more competitive compared to other telco's who already have 1GB for N1,000 type plans which resonates more with the average consumer.

See the pricing in the table below and I think MTN customers will be happier with it:

At this moment, we cannot say if this is just a promo that will run for an certain time or if this will be a new data setup for the telco.

MTN has not announced an end date or stated explicitly if this is a promo, especially when one considers the fact that the old pricing still reflects on MTN's website.
