Mother locks her 8-month-old baby in abandoned freezer

The Washington county residence is being charged for felonies and child abuse.

According to wjhl.com, Smith was reported by witnesses who saw her.

One of the witness of the 100 blocks of Poplar Hill Drive in Johnson City said Smith was seen holding a small child next to an unused freezer in their backyard, 

The witnesses said they found the child in the freezer with the lid closed with about an inch of water in the bottom.
