<strong>Janet</strong>, an <strong>18</strong><strong>years</strong> old girl in <strong>Bayelsa</strong><strong>State</strong>, <strong>Nigeria</strong>, has committed suicide after being <a href="http://pulse.ng/2013/10/11/morning-teaser-how-will-describe-a-man-who-beats-his-wife/" id="e5f6c03a-7311-57af-9ad2-4cdd6e0483c2"> </a>t gun point. The girl decided to take her life because she could not bear the stigma and shame of being raped.

The devastated Janet was said to have committed suicide by drinking a poisonous substance, leaving a note behind to justify her action. The police say the rapists have not been apprehended and are still walking about free.
