In the England national team, everyone is acutely aware that giving Erling Haaland any space in Saturday's quarter-final clash against Norway in Miami at the World Cup could prove fatal, admitted midfielder Morgan Rogers.

When asked how Erling Haaland could be contained, the English midfielder responded with a jest.

"Has anyone ever stopped Erling Haaland? I'm not sure anyone has, but we'll try," Rogers replied.

"He's such an incredible player. The things he does, the numbers – you just know how good he is. We'll probably have to try and limit his chances because he's so clinical in front of goal," the English international added.

"From our very first training session after the win against Mexico, the message was to strive for more. We can still improve. For many of us, this will be the most important match we've ever played in, especially at a World Cup under these circumstances," Morgan Rogers continued.

He also stated that the players were delighted to welcome experienced midfielder Jordan Henderson back to the camp after he underwent hand surgery for an injury sustained during the post-match celebrations in Mexico City.

"It just shows exactly what kind of person he is. To see him this morning, smiling and still happy, regardless of what happened to him in the last 48 hours, is really great for us. He's kind of the heart of the group," Rogers explained.
