The pictures might not have much of his face in them, but his presence will surely always be felt in every shot.

While planning for their wedding, 37-year-old photographer Mark Cordon and his bride, Elissa decided that the best man to get the photography job done was none other than the groom himself.

"As soon as I thought I’m going to shoot my own wedding I immediately thought 'oh this kind of unusual I’ve got to do something special here to make it worthwhile.

"We wanted it to be as simple as possible and I wanted to be the one covering as much of it as possible," he said.

And when November 20, 2016 came in Murwillumbah, Australia, Mark said he just kept picking the camera up and putting it down naturally, taking photos of the bride getting ready with her bridesmaids and capturing all the excitement in her family home as they prepared for the tastefully simple ceremony.

And what happened when the groom himself had to feature in a pic?

A guest had to act as photographers few times! Even the bride got the chance to capture some parts of her big day!

"Occasionally I’d add myself to the photo, but mostly it felt like I was already in the picture since I was the one taking it," he said.

Being the one involved in the whole process, the groom captures the event perfectly with the following words, "ultimately, this story isn’t about ‘the groom who shot his own wedding’.

It’s just about two people trying to keep their wedding day as natural as possible."

Just as he was spot on with the pictures, here's he being spot on with these beautiful words.
