Max Verstappen: A very intense race!

"It's a really great win, especially after the year we've had and the progress we've made," Max said after the race. "I'm incredibly proud of everyone in the team. It feels fantastic to win here."

"It's incredible. To claim our first win in our very first season running our own power unit is truly impressive."

"The race was very intense. So much happened before the start—I lacked power on the initial formation lap in the rain and had to wait for the power to kick in after hitting the throttle."

"We made the right call when switching to intermediate tyres, and step by step, we moved up the order. From that point on, I drove at my own pace; there was a Safety Car as well, but everything was completely under control."
