Reports say about 156 members of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), were arrested by police officers, in Delta state.

According to Sun Newspapers, the arrests were confirmed by the Public Relations Officer of the Delta state police command, DSP Celestina Kalu.

Adding that “The public are advised to be aware that fraternising with the group of outlawed indigenous people of Biafra is unlawful; anyone arrested will be made to face the full wrath of the law.”

She also said that 11 members, who were identified as the ring leaders are being interrogated to ascertain their involvement, while the women and children have been released.
