Marylove is a teen Nigerian tennis star who has been playing the game since she was four.

In the latest women singles tennis ranking released by the Nigeria Tennis Federation (NTF) the 12-year-old is No. 4 on the list.

She is the youngest player to make the list in the history of tennis in Nigeria.

She achieved this unprecedented feat following her outstanding performance at the just concluded Central Bank of Nigeria Senior Championship in Lagos.

Marylove came into the championship as a wildcard but caused a shock by beating some of the top-seed players to finish second.

In the rating released by the NTF earlier in June, Marylove has 70 points. She is behind Agugbom Christy, Sarah Adegoke and Blessing Samuel.

The Temple Management Company (TMC) managed sensation is excited about her position at the NTF Ranking.

"This is a giant leap for me and I hope to use this a motivation to get to the top. The goal is to become the best. I am grateful to have a wonderful team behind me," she said in a statement released by her management.

She is preparing for an African championship holding in the next few weeks in Tunisia.

Marylove has won several titles including the Central Bank of Nigeria Open- U12 Category, the Lagos State All Secondary School event, Ikoyi Club Junior Open, NNPC Junior Open (U14), SNEPCO Junior Open, Midwestern Oil and Gas Junior Open and Gauteng North Belgrave Sportsmans Warehouse Tournament South Africa.
