Known as the only boxer ever to hold world titles in eight different weight categories, Manny Pacquiao  who was born a catholic, left the church, took to gambling, drinking and womanising before an incident led him back to God.

Gambling and women used to be the order of the day for the Filipino boxing champion who is still hoping for the potential billion dollar fight against Floyd Mayweather.

Pacquaio would bet on fights, then spend the time away with drinks and women but he turned to his first love, God after the wild lifestyle nearly cost him his family life with his wife and their five children.

This week he fights American Chris Algieri and the 35 year-old boxer fears not for he has placed it in the hands of God.

Sometime in October this year, Pacquaio told the world about his encounter with God
