Aurelien Tchouameni has emerged as a prime target for Manchester United's midfield, according to Spanish outlet "AS." The publication reports that the Red Devils are set to initiate negotiations with Real Madrid in the coming days regarding a potential transfer for the French international. The English club is actively seeking a replacement for Casemiro, having missed out on their initial two targets, Matheus Fernandes and Elliot Anderson. While Ederson's transfer from Atalanta is expected to be finalized soon, he won't be the only new addition to Manchester United's midfield.
According to "AS," the Red Devils are prepared to offer a substantial sum for Tchouameni, with Real Madrid reportedly demanding over 100 million euros for his services.
Relations between the two clubs are strong, and they have a history of successful dealings. Two of Real Madrid's most significant outgoing transfers in recent years have been to Old Trafford. First, in the summer of 2021, Manchester United acquired Raphael Varane for 50 million euros, followed a year later by the signing of Casemiro for 72 million.
