Manchester United is reportedly planning to offload at least eight players this summer, according to The Mirror. This move is expected to free up funds for one of their major transfer targets: Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliott Anderson, valued at approximately £100 million.

Rasmus Hojlund, Marcus Rashford, Manuel Ugarte, Joshua Zirkzee, and Andre Onana are all slated for sale. United anticipates receiving around £64 million for Hojlund and Rashford, as per clauses in their loan agreements with Napoli and Barcelona, respectively. The club hopes to secure approximately £19 million from the sale of Onana, currently on loan at Trabzonspor. Ugarte, who cost £50.8 million, and Zirkzee, a £36.5 million acquisition for the Red Devils, are expected to be sold at a significant loss, though the source does not specify their asking prices.

Tyrell Malacia, Jadon Sancho, and Casemiro are set to depart as free agents. Their exits will significantly reduce Manchester United's wage bill, with the Brazilian alone currently earning £350,000 per week.
