Manchester City has offloaded Tijjani Reijnders to Saudi Arabian club Al-Qadsiah for a reported €61 million. The 28-year-old midfielder spent just one season with the Citizens, having arrived at the Etihad last summer. During his tenure, he made 50 appearances, netting seven goals.
City initially acquired Reijnders from AC Milan for approximately €55 million. As part of the current deal, the Rossoneri are set to receive €14 million. At his new club, Reijnders will play under the guidance of Brendan Rodgers. Al-Qadsiah is making significant moves in the transfer market, having also signed Mateo Retegui this summer.
"It was an incredible privilege to play for Manchester City, and I enjoyed every single minute here," the midfielder stated. "From the moment I arrived, everyone at the club – players, coaches, and staff – made me feel welcome and part of the Manchester City family. I would also like to extend a special thank you to the City fans, who were so warm and supportive to both me and my family. Being part of the squad that won two such special trophies last season was an amazing experience and an achievement I will cherish forever. Although I am leaving, Manchester City will always hold a special place in my heart."
