Man caught with female pants, bras and sanitary pads in Akure [Video]

The suspect, who was almost lynched by the residents, was accused of using the female underwear for ritual purposes.

In a video shared online, the suspect was seen paraded naked by the angry mob who caught him.

According to a witness, the man was almost killed by the mob before he was handed over to security officers.

The witness said, "The man was caught by okada riders in Danjuma area of Akure while he was picking female pants and bras.

"He also picked a fresh sanitary pad soaked with blood. Nobody knew what he wanted to use them for. But he has been handed over to men of the Civil Defence Corps, Ondo Command.”

Spokesperson of the Ondo state command of the NSCDC, Oladapo Samuel, confirmed the incidence, adding that investigation is ongoing.

He disclosed that relatives of the suspect visited the command to explain that Micheal was mentally-challenged and was fond of picking refuse around.
