Recently, the governor of Lagos state, Akinwunmi Ambode, made a fine attempt at boosting security.
According to The Herald, Governor Ambode donated 140 new Ford Ranger Pick-Ups, 335 Power Bikes fitted with communication gadgets, and other security gadgets.
This donation is reportedly N1.85billion Naira.
While appreciating the governors attempt, Senator
The controversial politician took to Twitter to criticise Governor Ambode over his decision to buy foreign cars, rather than locally manufactured cars.
In February, 2016, Senator Bruce purchased a Made-in-Nigeria ‘Innoson’ car.
He has also advocated the purchase of locally manufactured vehicles by showing support for a new bill.
This bill will encourage the patronage of Made-in-Nigeria cars.
“I have three Innoson vehicles and I have no complaints; even if I have complaints, I will call the company. Innoson is presently fixing a fighter jet and if we can follow his example the country will be better for it,” he said.
