La Liga stars lead shirt sales in football

Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are the biggest name in football, so it’s of no surprise that both lead the list of shirt sales in the world.

Sky Sports and have monitored the shirt sales of players from 1st July to September 30th 2015 in a bid to see which players are most popular when it comes to shirt sales.

Messi and Ronaldo lead the list in first and second position respectively.

In third position is a huge surprise as Manchester United star Memphis Depay is only bettered by Messi and Ronaldo when it comes to number of shirts sold.

Another Manchester United player Bastian Schweinsteiger is fourth on the list while Chelsea star man Eden Hazard make up the top five.

Manchester United captain and the biggest name in English football, Wayne Rooney is sixth while Barcelona star, Neymar is seventh on the list.

English Premier League stars, Sergio Aguero of Manchester City, Alexis Sanchez of Arsenal and Philippe Coutinho of Liverpool make up the top 10.
