Liam Lawson Tests for Red Bull at Mugello

After stepping in for Isack Hadjar at the Dutch Grand Prix last weekend, Liam Lawson was back behind the wheel of the RB22 today.

The New Zealander participated in Pirelli's test at Mugello, where the Italian company is developing its tires for the 2027 season. McLaren also joined Red Bull in this test.

Red Bull giving Lawson more seat time in the RB22 could be interpreted as a sign that he might compete in next week's Italian Grand Prix with the senior Red Bull team. A decision on this is expected in the coming days, and it will depend entirely on the recovery status of the injured Hadjar.
