Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski has reportedly offered his services to AC Milan, according to today's editions of the authoritative publications "Marca" and "Gazzetta dello Sport." The Polish forward's contract with the Catalan giants is expiring and, at present, has not yet been renewed, despite ongoing discussions between both parties.
Journalist Alessandra Gozzini reports that the player's agents are actively working to secure a move for Lewandowski to the Rossoneri. She also notes that Juventus has shown interest in the prolific goalscorer. The striker is seeking a new major challenge, and Milan's ambition for a resurgence on the international stage makes them an attractive destination. The Rossoneri are currently third in the league standings and are increasingly close to securing a Champions League spot for next season.
“To say Lewandowski is offering himself is inaccurate; he is undoubtedly looking for a new, significant challenge. Milan, aiming for a return to the international stage, is once again one of those clubs: that's why Robert decided to take a step forward. In Italy, Juventus, who have long shown interest, could also be an option,” Gozzini explained.
Although Lewandowski's salary remains high, Milan is already exploring options to meet his demands. Should an agreement be reached, the club would be able to sign the striker as a free agent, without paying a transfer fee. In Italy, it's noted that the Polish forward has scored more goals in La Liga this season (12) than Rafael Leão (9) and Christian Pulisic (8) – Milan's current leading scorers.
