Head of clinic found dead in office

Amadin said that the Alausa Police Division got information about the death at 7.15 a.m. on Monday, adding that the scene was visited by the police who found the corpse lying on floor.

The police in Lagos, on Monday said that the Head of Lagos State House of Assembly (LAHA) Clinic, Caroline Oriola was found dead in her office.

The spokeswoman of the command, DSP Patricia Amadin who disclosed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) said that a cleaner, Nimota Saka, who wanted to clean her office, discovered her dead body on the floor at about 6.50 a.m.

She said that there was no sign of violence on the body of the deceased as preliminary investigation revealed that the deceased just recovered from an illness.

"We got information that she came to the office at about 9.58 a.m. on Saturday all alone in her department. She was suspected to have collapsed in the office."

"The corpse has been deposited at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja mortuary for autopsy,’’ she said.
