La Liga 2017/2018

The new La Liga season kicks off on Friday, August 17 with Girona hosting Valladolid in the opening game.

Reigning champions Barcelona welcome Alves, Real Madrid host Getafe while Atletico Madrid will play Rayo Vallecano at home.

Pulse received a special package from La Liga Ambassadors Vero Boquete, Fernando Sanz, Christian Karembeu, Fernando Morientes and Gaizka Mendieta which turned out to be the new Nike Merlin ball which is exclusively for the 2018/2019 season.

The ball was sent to Pulse as part of the campaign ahead of the new season.

The Ambassadors also distributed it to international influencers, celebrities, and key media houses in more than 20 countries.

Nike Merlin Ball

The ball as an advanced design, eye-catching colours and, for the first time, All Conditions Control (ACC) technology, which ensures optimal touch and control in all weather conditions.

It is made of high-quality materials, which make it worthy of being the official ball used in LaLiga Santander as well as in the other big European leagues.

Founded in 1984, LaLiga (Liga de Fútbol Profesional) is a sports association comprising the 42 teams that make up the first and second divisions of professional football in Spain.

La Liga, based in Madrid, is responsible for the La Liga Santander and LaLiga 123 leagues and the television production, which in the 2016/2017 season reached more than 2.5 billion people globally.

The association also has an active foundation and is the world’s first professional football league with a league for intellectually challenged footballers: LaLiga Genuine.
