Arsenal table £87m bid for Monaco star
Arsenal have reportedly tabled a £87m bid for Monaco youngster Kylian Mbappe.
Mbappe made a breakthrough season at Monaco that won the Ligue 1 title and reached the Champions League semi-finals.
The 18-year-old scored 26 goals across all competition announcing himself on the world stage.
Arsenal whose manager Arsene Wenger is a self-confessed admirer of the 18-year-old has reportedly tabled a £87m for the striker.
Monaco had previously rejected a £105m bid from Real Madrid.
In other transfer rumours, Arsenal are close to sealing a new £280,000-a-week contract extension for midfielder Mesut Ozil.
In Italy Roma are said to have rejected a £25m bid from Liverpool for Mohamed Salah.
Manchester United are close to the £35m signing of centre-back Victor Lindelof from Portuguese champions Benfica. They are also reportedly interested in Alexandre Lacazette after cooling their interest in Atletico Madrid's Antoine Griezmann.
United are also interested in Everton striker Romelu Lukaku.
Southampton have placed a £70m price tag on Netherlands defender Virgil van Dijk. Liverpool and Manchester City are interested.
