Adeosun stated this on Tuesday, March 22, while speaking to State House correspondents at the end of the two-day National Economic Council (NEC) Retreat at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The move is based on the  yet-to-be passed 2016 Budget, which is before the National Assembly (NASS).

Adeosun said it will partly be used to offset contractual debts in the country.

NASS had fixed March 17 for passage of the budget but shifted it again, for the second time. No new date has been set for the approval of the document.
