Iheanacho has been struggling with the toe injury which he picked up in Leicester City’s pre-season friendly against Borussia Monchengladbach.
The 20-year-old went to see a specialist last week and missed Leicester City’s Premier League 2-0 win over Brighton on Saturday, August 19.
The Nigeria international however returned to training on Monday, taking to his Instagram to share a photo.
“Happy to be back on the pitch,” the former Manchester City striker wrote alongside a photo he posted on his Instagram.
Iheanacho has only one competitive appearance for Leicester City, coming in as a late substitute in their 4-3 loss away at Arsenal on the opening day of the 2017/2018 Premier League season.
He joined Leicester City from Manchester City in a £25 million deal.
