The plea on a sign in front of the ride reads:

"This is a family ride – not a white knuckle thrill ride. Enjoy the views but we love our neighbours. PLEASE DO NOT SHOUT OR SCREAM! Thank ewe."

According to Daily Star, the sign is a result of a five year planning permission battle with local residents who claimed the new roller coaster would be "intrusive".

The theme park describes the roller coaster as Devon's "Biggest, highest and longest rollercoaster".

In view of what the ride promises, Roller Coaster Club of Great Britain boss Andy Hine said he "cannot see any way that a non-screaming rule can be enforced."

Haven been in planning for over 5 years, the roller coaster is 400m long and reaches heights of up to 13m and is being installed above the Battlefield Devon attraction.

It was originally housed at Metroland in Gateshead near Newcastle and costs millions of pounds according to the park.
