FIFA on Monday, September 3 announced the final nominees for different categories of the 2018 FIFA Best Awards at an event in London.

To unveil the final nominees, FIFA called on a few football legends including Nigeria's Kanu who made 87 caps for the Super Eagles of Nigeria and led Nigeria to a gold medal at the football event of the 1996 Olympic Games.

Former internationals Sol Campbell, Peter Schmeichel and Kelly Smith were the other legends at the unveiling.

In some of the most popular categories, Cristiano Ronaldo, Luka Modric and Mohamed Salah were unveiled as the finalists for the Men’s Player of the Year award.

Former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane will battle Coach of the Year prize with France’s Didier Deschamp and Dalic Zlatko of Croatia.

Belgian and now Real Madrid shot-stopper Thibaut Courtois, France and Tottenham’s Hugo Lloris and Leicester City’s Danish star Kasper Schmeichel will battle for Goalkeeper of the Year.

The 2018 edition will hold on Monday, September 24 in London.
