The committee, which will also investigate the policy introduced by the NNPC Trading Limited, a subsidiary of the corporation, will be headed by former Sokoto state governor, Aliyu Wammako.

Kachikwu had accused Baru of insubordination and illegal conducts in a letter he addressed to President Buhari, dated August 30, 2017.

The minister said he considered it important to call the attention of the president to his concerns about Baru because they're capable of hindering progress in the petroleum sector.
