Draxler was the captain of the Germany team that beat Chile 1-0 on Sunday, June 2 to win the Confederations Cup title.

The 23-year-old was presented with the Golden Ball, the award for the best player of the tournament.

His team-mate Timo Werner finished as the highest goalscorer of the tournament walking away with the Golden Boot after scoring three goals.

Although he has the same number of goals like teammates Leon Gortetzka, Lars Stindl, Werner had two assists to the prize.

Chile goalkeeper, Claudio Bravo, took home the Golden Glove award after saving three penalties in the semi-final game against Portugal.
