The institution’s Registrar, Mr. Olu Olukoya, in a report published in the University's Bulletin, said the students' punishment was decided at a meeting of the Central Student Disciplinary Committee (CSDC).

Olukoya revealed that the students' offences ranged from gross misconduct to pilfering and examination malpractice.

The rusticated students have an opportunity to be re-absorbed into the system after the expiry of two semesters.
