David Adelman, the Denver coach, has achieved significant success, making NBA history alongside his father. Rick Adelman, as a coach for three different teams over eleven seasons, achieved 50 or more wins, and now his son has reached that same milestone.

In his rookie season, David secured 54 wins, making him and Rick the first father-son head coaching duo to each achieve at least 50 victories in their respective campaigns.

During the press conference, Adelman expressed satisfaction with David Roddy's rebounding performance, Curtis Jones's playmaking at point guard, and Julian Strawther's scoring. He particularly emphasized his pride in the team's overall accomplishment.

We're in a good spot, but now everything resets. We have a week to prepare. Mentally, I'm proud. We achieved the most road wins (26) in team history and finished the season with 54 victories, despite all the challenges. I'm proud of the excellent way we concluded the season, even without our highest-minute players, by playing the right way. We feel good, but we know other teams feel the same. The Western Conference playoffs are going to be absolutely wild.

Addressing speculation about choosing playoff opponents, he was unequivocal.

Everyone talks about the best opponent and things like that. You can't know what's going to happen. Do you really want to play against Kevin Durant?

"He seemed to have a good time"

Journalists also asked him about Nikola Jokić, who played only in the first half to meet the eligibility criteria for the MVP award and other accolades. During that time, Jokić scored 23 points and grabbed eight rebounds, appearing to enjoy playing with teammates who typically see less court time.

I think he embraced the situation because he saw how hard those guys next to him were working. He respects effort when he sees players fighting for their chance. Guys like him do everything in a game, and I think he appreciates that. He seemed to have a good time on the court.
