Before making his name as a midfielder for the Nigerian National Team and Israeli club Hapoel Be’er Sheva, John Ogu was a model in Slovenia.

John Ogu in September 2006 left Fly Sport Academic of Lagos for his first club abroad, NK Drava Ptuj in the Slovenian First League.

It seems while he was in the central European country, the midfielder had to do other jobs to support himself financially and one of those side hustles was as a model.

The midfielder who is currently with the Super Eagles team ahead of their 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Chad posted a photo of himself on a modeling job back in the days.

"Man be forming Model way back #TBT.Your boy was blessed with 50euro after this. My Slovenia days," John Ogu wrote alongside the photo on Instagram.

In the photo, a younger John Ogu is seen displaying his abs while walking down the runway with a white women.

The midfielder apparently took his football career more serious and have become more established in it.
