Mikel according to Nigerian sports journalist, Colin Udoh will be the captain of Team Nigeria to be assisted by tennis star Olufunke Oshonaike.

Mikel Obi is expected to lead Nigeria’s U-23 at the football event of the 2016 Olympic Games after he made the final list.

The midfielder who is one of the over-aged players in the Dream Team has joined up with the side at their camp in Atlanta, United States.

The 29-year-old arrived camp on Monday, July 25, Mikel Obi and quickly joined in training straight away.

Oshonaike, 40 has represented Nigeria at five Olympic Games. She has six Africa games gold medals in her kitty.
