Super Eagles midfielder doubtful for Tanzania game

It seem Super Eagles midfielder Joel Obi will not be taking part in Nigeria's 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Tanzania next month.

The Torino FC midfielder was part of the 18-man foreign based Super Eagles players invited for the game by coach .

Torino FC have however announced on their website the new signing is nursing an injury and will be out for at most 7 days.

“MRI he underwent Obi showed an overuse the semitendinosus muscle of the left thigh. Recovery times are currently estimated at approximately 5-7 days," the report reads.

Though the estimated recovery time is before the Super Eagles, it is not known if the Serie A club would allow Joel Obi to take part in the game.
