Super Eagles defender loses dad

Super Eagles defender Jamiu Alimi is currently mourning the death of his father who passed away in Lagos on Sunday, October 30.

Alimi’s dad, Pulse Sports learnt died in the morning after a brief illness.

The Kano Pillars defender took to his social media to mourn the death of his father.

“My dad was my motivator and now I’ve lost him. My pain is my dad died when my career is wearing a new look. I had promised to make him more comfortable before he passed on,” he wrote.

His club, Kano Pillars sent a condolence message to the defender through a statement.

“The entire Pillars team wish to condole with Jamiu Alimi on the passing away of his father,” a part of the statement signed by the club’s spokesperson, Idris Malikawa read.

“May Allah accept his soul. We also pray for the family to also have the courage to bear the loss of their father.”
