Liverpool legend in trouble for spitting at a fan and his 14-year-old daughter

Jamie Carragher has called the 14-year-old girl to apologise for his actions.

Carragher was involved in an exchange of words with the fan after his former team Liverpool were defeated 2 – 1 by United at Old Trafford on Saturday, March 10.

According to a report by the , Carragher a former England international was covering the game for Sky Sports as part of his punditry duties, and on his way home he was taunted following Liverpool's loss.

Carragher was brought up as a Liverpool supporter and had intense matches against Manchester United in his playing days.

The Liverpool legend was unhappy after the game and the report states that after “a bit of banter” he spit on the fan knowing fully well his daughter was also in the car.

Carragher was caught on camera as he pulled over to spit on the fan and his daughter.

The report states that Carragher called the fan and his daughter to say, “I just want to apologise and I hope you are OK.”

The 40-year-old could now face disciplinary actions as a Spokesperson for SkySports said “It’s unacceptable behavior and we will be addressing it with Jamie.”

Carragher played for Liverpool for 17 seasons where he made over 700 appearances and scored a total of five goals.

He made 38 appearances for England and featured at the 2006 and 2010 FIFA World Cup tournaments.
