Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola is set to depart the football club at the end of the season when his contract expires, according to reports from Sky Sports, The Athletic, and Fabrizio Romano.

The Spanish tactician has already informed the Cherries' management that he will be leaving this summer. He reportedly turned down multiple offers to extend his stay, despite guiding the team to a club-record-equalling ninth-place finish in the Premier League last season.

Iraola took the helm at Bournemouth in June 2023, also leading them to the FA Cup quarter-finals during his tenure.

The Spaniard will remain in charge for the remaining six Premier League fixtures, aiming to secure a historic first-ever European club competition qualification for the team. However, he will not be the manager to lead them into any potential European campaign.

Currently, the south coast side sits 11th in the league table with 45 points, just two points shy of the European qualification spots.

Iraola has reportedly decided it's time for a new challenge. He has been linked with several Premier League clubs, including Manchester United, Newcastle, and Crystal Palace, as well as his former club Athletic Bilbao.

According to The Athletic, Bournemouth is already considering Iraola's successor, with Ipswich manager Kieran McKenna reportedly at the top of their shortlist.
