Photo-sharing platform launches Business profiles feature

Business owners will be able to create business profile pages, and with the help of the newly announced Insight tool, see which posts their followers are responding to and how those followers are responding to said posts.

Instagram has launches a business-focused feature called Instagram Business Profiles. The feature will incorporate a lot of tools to help with measuring engagement and post promotions.

Users of the feature will also be able to target an audience to whom they can promote their posts or simply let Instagram sort out the details.

There are also call to action buttons and users can set a timed period for promoted posts. According to InnovationVillage, there are already over 200,000 companies using Instagram to promote their businesses and the addition of the Insight tool will make it easier for companies to get the products and services out there.

The new features will roll out first in the US, Australia, and New Zealand, with a global rollout following by the end of 2016.
