The elder Williams brother highlighted how crucial it is for Nico to regain his confidence and feel completely at ease on the pitch following a recent string of fitness issues. According to Inaki, the winger was already getting back to his best at San Mames before this latest enforced spell on the sidelines.

"We need Nico at his absolute best," the forward said.

He was quick to allay fears regarding the Spain international's condition: "I don't think the injury is particularly serious." Inaki added that his brother remains calm and enjoys the unconditional trust of his manager, teammates, and family.

The Athletic leader also paid special attention to the pressures stemming from the digital space, urging his brother to tune out the external noise surrounding him.

"Social media is the rubbish dump of society," Inaki stated bluntly, explaining how any ill-judged comment can snowball into an avalanche. His advice to Nico was crystal clear: "If it's keeping you awake at night, just quit social media and you'll live a much more peaceful life, just like I do."
