A video of a female match official standing up to a player who was not happy with her decision has gone viral on the internet.
The female lineswoman was filmed talking back to the Ponte Preta footballer Biro Biro during the Campeonato Paulista match on Sunday, March 15 and has been hailed by many.
During the match between Sao Paulo and Ponte Preta, lineswoman Tatiane Sacilotti is seen to signal a throw-in.
But Biro Biro is not happy with the decision and heads over to Tatiane to give her a dressing down, but female referee was having none of that.
Tatiane stood her ground and is seen in the video giving the player a dressing down.
Shocked by the comeback, Biro then walks off with a wave of his hand, so Tatiane heads back to her post with a fuming backwards glance.
The clip has gone viral on social network sites.
Attacks against referees all of the world have been in the news all week.
After the display of Chelsea FC players last week in their UEFA Champions League game against PSG, a footballer in America was recently jailed after he punched a referee to death because he red carded him.
